Our Client is a long standing electrical contracting company working across all sectors of the electrical industry, offeringthe highest level of service to all clients.
They are seeking a dedicated Housing Contracts Engineer to join a dynamic team to assist in the smooth running ofcontracts. This would predominantly be for Housing sector works from overseeing full rewires, partial rewires, upgrades to testing and remedial works.
Job Summary:
Seeking a motivated and preferably experienced Housing Contracts Engineer to oversee the successful delivery of our housing projects. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified electrician and possess 18th Edition and Test and Inspection qualifications. You will be responsible for ensuring that all works are carried out safely and to current regulations, to meetclients exact requirements. Your effective management from inception to completion must safeguard the organisation's interests and ensure successful project delivery within agreed parameters.
Key Responsibilities:

- Review contract and specification to ensure overall knowledge of clients requirements
- Review works and prepare H&S plans/Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Liaise with stakeholders to diarise works required
- Liaise effectively with internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders
- Organise and manage company operatives ensuring correct/up to date training, tools, materials requisitions, vehicle requirements etc are in place to carry out the works
- Effectively track the works undertaken and raise monthly invoices/valuations to the client
- Facilitate and participate in contract review meetings
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and internal policies
- Monitor budgets and expenditure against contract costs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Fully qualified electrician with 18th Edition and Test & Inspection qualifications
- Preferable experience in Housing Contract Management
- Must have a full clean UK driving licence
- Strong communication skills to manage operatives and contractors and liaise with all stakeholders
- Knowledge of relevant construction law and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time and problem solve when the need arises.
- Proficiency in relevant software e.g., Microsoft Office for emails, valuations, teams meetings (project management software and other bespoke software will be taught on the job)
Salary would be negotiable from 40,000 upwards depending upon experience
