We are delighted to be able to offer an excellent opportunity for an accomplished administrator to join our clients team based in County Durham. This role will sit in the HR function predominantly assisting the HR Manager in the day-to-day activities of the department, partnering all departments to support the business goals.

Hours of work are Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm or 8.30am-5.00pm, the choice will be left up to the successful candidate. This role is temporary with the view of leading to permanent employment for the right applicant.

Duties of the role include;

  • General administration tasks to support the HR function.

  • Organise and maintain personnel records.

  • Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)

  • Prepare documents such as Induction Packs, PPE requests, return to work history, exit interview data.

  • Supporting the collection of data for HR processes such as performance management, appraisal reviews.

  • Assistance in data collection in preparation for Customer, BRC and Ethical Audits and involvement in HR projects.

  • Coordinate annual refresher training programmes (i.e. manual handling, FLT, etc.)

  • Co-ordinating regular reviews of new starters training achievements as part of their temp 

  • Where requested, source, book and co-coordinate external training activities.

  • Keep accurate training records that are comprehensive and up-to-date.

  • Participate in HR events such as recruitment fairs.

  • Cover for Receptionist in absence (8:00 am to 5:00 pm).

  • Support and contribute to general administrative activities across the site.

Experience Required;

Previous experience of working within an HR department is highly desirable but not essential. Previous general administration experience is required, suitable candidates will need to be computer literate and familiar with general microsoft office packages.
