Duties
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and finish materials.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately execute fabrication tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools are properly stored after use.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve production efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding, particularly mig welding.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in fabrication processes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
