Assistant People Business Partner with previous experience of working in an HR / Human Resources advisor or generalist role, providing advice on HR policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues, is required for a fast-paced HR team at a Schools Trust, based in Stanmore, North West London.

SALARY: £44,120 - £48,308 per annum pro rata (Grade 10) + Benefits

LOCATION: Stanmore, North West London(HA7)

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract - with a possibility of extension

WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Assistant People Business Partnerwith previous experience of working in an HR / Human Resources advisor or generalist role, providing advice on HR policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues.

Working as the Assistant People Business Partner you will partner with management to support the People Business Partner in delivering a high-quality business partnering service to your schools/areas. This role will support in delivering strategic people solutions, supporting cultural transformation, and leading key projects that enhance staff engagement and wellbeing.

DUTIES

Your duties as an Assistant People Business Partner will include:

  • Partner with management to align people strategies with business goals, using data-driven insights to address current and future challenges
  • Provide expert advice on workforce planning, talent management, engagement, wellbeing, and organisational redesign
  • Drive cultural change and enhance management capabilities in people leadership and complex issue resolution
  • Support Trust-wide initiatives by contributing to People Strategy projects and delivering impactful policies and processes
  • Act as a specialist in areas like EDI, mental health, or employee value proposition, offering trusted advice and innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with People Services colleagues to ensure consistency, share best practices, and deliver value-added services
  • Stay informed on legislative changes and educational requirements to continuously improve people services across the Trust

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working at HR / Human Resources generalist role
  • Experience of supporting managers in all areas of people matters including employment offers, people policies, performance improvement, disciplinary & grievance, absence & sickness, variation of terms, termination of employment and recruitment, etc
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced Human Resources team, providing first-level advice on HR policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues
  • Experience of developing/updating policies with changes in employment legislation
  • Sound working knowledge and understanding of UK employment legislation
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills to be able to organise and prioritise multiple work streams within a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Excellent ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing with managers and staff at all levels of the organisation
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
