We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Commis Chef to join our team in Andover. This is an ideal role for someone who is eager to start their culinary career or gain more experience in a professional, private sector kitchen. You will be an integral part of the team, supporting the senior chefs and learning the fundamental skills needed to become a successful chef.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, preparing meat, and creating sauces.

Cooking Assistance: Support the Chef de Partie and other senior chefs during service.

Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure your workstation and the wider kitchen area are kept clean and organized at all times.

Learning & Development: Absorb and learn from senior chefs, mastering new techniques and procedures.

Adherence to Standards: Follow all health, safety, and hygiene policies strictly.
Candidate Requirements:

A genuine passion for food and a strong desire to learn.

Some experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but a positive attitude and strong work ethic are most important.

Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well as part of a team.

Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Five years of verifiable professional references are required.

A successful enhanced DBS check is a condition of employment.
