Trainee Buyer

Job Title: Trainee Assistant Buyer (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: Hybrid 3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH (After 6-Month Probation)
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Salary: £25,000 per annum + £4,000 Car Allowance + 5% Bonus (subject to conditions)
Start Date: Immediate Start Required

About the Role:
As a Trainee Buyer, youll work closely with experienced buyers and learn the ropes of sourcing, negotiating for ongoing projects. You dont need prior experience in procurement, just transferable skills like attention to detail, strong communication, and a proactive attitude. If youre enthusiastic about building your career, well provide the support and training to help you succeed.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Supporting procurement activities by sourcing product information and organising samples

• Helping to gather and compare quotes from suppliers

• Updating procurement documents

• Liaising with internal departments

• Assisting with monthly site audits and stock checks

• Keeping accurate records and supporting invoice checks

• Learning to assess supplier performance and contribute to team meetings

What Were Looking For:

• A positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Good communication skills written and verbal

• Confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email)

• Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks

• Team player whos also self-motivated

• A full UK driving licence
