A reputable private healthcare business, part of a larger international group is currently seeking a Head of Transactional Services to head up their accounts receivable function.

The role will oversee a team of 20 in receivable and credit control, and report directly to the Group Financial Controller. Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the Credit Control and Receivables teams, ensuring a high standard or work and output.
  • Oversight of billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Develop and implement robust credit control policies and processes optimize cash position.
  • Manage aged debt, proactively resolving issues and escalating concerns where necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, contractual obligations, and internal policies.
  • Work closely with operational and commercial teams to resolve billing disputes and streamline processes.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on debt position, cash flow, and KPIs to the senior leadership team.
  • Support financial audits and ensure strong internal controls are maintained.
  • Develop and mentor the transactional finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Additional ad-hoc duties, project and process improvement; leveraging technology and automating processes to enhance efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading Credit Control and Sales Ledger functions within a complex, multi-site organization. Candidates must have a strong understanding of revenue cycle management, cash flow, and debt recovery strategies, and previous experience working within the healthcare sector would be beneficial.

Ideally you will have excellent leadership and people management skills, managing sizeable teams; with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and present insights to senior stakeholders. Experience with finance systems and process automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy is highly beneficial.
