International Business

Baker Charles is partnering with a leading international manufacturing business based in Hertfordshire that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant on an interim basis. Due to a high profile project the finance function is currently experiencing a period of increased workload. Therefore, they are seeking a capable and hands-on individual who can quickly integrate, support the team, and provide stability and expertise during this busy time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial accounting in line with IFRS and UK GAAP, while also helping to strengthen and maintain robust financial controls and processes. You will play a key role in supporting the month-end close and assisting with statutory reporting.

Experience in working across multiple entities and currencies will be advantageous, as the role involves multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations across the business’s international operations. Collaboration with the wider finance team will be essential, as you work to relieve pressure, enhance processes, and ensure a smooth delivery of financial outputs.

You will be a qualified accountant with a strong grounding in financial accounting and controls. A solid understanding of both IFRS and UK GAAP is essential. Ideally, you will bring experience from multi-currency and international businesses.

This role requires someone who is adaptable, proactive and confident operating in a fast-paced and pressurised environment. The team needs someone who can get stuck in from day one and make a positive impact quickly.
