Cnc Turner

Main purpose of job: We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner/Engineer with expertise in setting sliding head machines to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and manufacturing, with a specific focus on CNC sliding head turning.

Cnc Turner Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Citizen CNC machines for turning operations
  • Interpret technical drawings and program CNC machines accordingly
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality output
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize processes and improve efficiency
  • Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards(ISO9001) at all times

Day to Day:

  • Setting up Citizen CNC machines for turning operations
  • Programming machines based on technical drawings
  • Monitoring machine performance and making necessary adjustments
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to optimize processes
  • Conducting maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
  • Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards (ISO9001) 
  • Not a clean job.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a CNC setter and turner
  • In-depth knowledge of CNC programming and operation
  • Strong understanding of sliding head turning techniques
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality consciousness
  • Knowledge of plastics would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Certification or diploma in engineering or related field is preferred
