Job Title: Thermal Test Technician
Location: Stevenage
Permanent or Contract (Inside IR35) roles available
Overview: A leading provider of aerospace testing services is seeking a Thermal Vacuum Test Technician to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work with world-class aerospace clients in a commercial test laboratory setting, primarily on day shifts, with occasional double days and weekend work available as overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and support vibration and thermal vacuum test execution.
- Run tests, review and analyse post-test data.
- Compile test data and produce certification and reports.
- Carry out mechanical operations to support test setups.
- Perform operational test preparation tasks.
- Maintain test instrumentation, facilities, and equipment.
- Conduct daily and monthly audit routines.
- Ensure delivery of work on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Essential Skills:
- Solid knowledge of thermal vacuum testing techniques and related mechanical processes.
- Hands-on experience assembling mechanical test rigs and interpreting technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly, including outside standard working hours.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience using bespoke test facilities to meet specification requirements.
- Design and manufacture of custom test setups and tooling.
- Support for internal and external audits.
- Ability to liaise with internal and external customers regarding their projects.
