Join a leading defence company as a Safety and Reliability Engineer, where you'll work on complex systems from concept to delivery. You'll have the chance to work on international defence projects. influence early design decisions and help shape the future of cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Build clear, credible reliability and/or safety cases that balance time, cost, and customer expectations.
  • Lead reliability assurance throughout the system lifecycle, ensuring the right level of effort at each stage.
  • Deliver a streamlined, risk-based reliability programme that fits the complexity of each system.
  • Balance rigorous safety assurance with the operational demands of advanced weapon systems.
  • Work closely with a highly skilled team, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
  • Develop a deep technical understanding of advanced systems and their operating environments through hands-on project involvement.

What we are looking for in you:

  • Detailed understanding and experience of how the hazard analysis and safety evaluation processes integrate with the system engineering process.
  • Ability to deliver supporting information/ key Safety & Reliability documents (Safety Case Reports, Hazard Analysis, Functional Failure Analysis, FTA, FMECA, reliability prediction, etc).
  • A strong grasp of reliability as a development process, with experience in planning, analysis, and testing.
  • Be familiar with UK and international systems engineering standards and how to apply them effectively.
  • A background in complex electronic systems, with a good handle on their safety and reliability challenges ideally supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
