Responsibilities will include:
- Build clear, credible reliability and/or safety cases that balance time, cost, and customer expectations.
- Lead reliability assurance throughout the system lifecycle, ensuring the right level of effort at each stage.
- Deliver a streamlined, risk-based reliability programme that fits the complexity of each system.
- Balance rigorous safety assurance with the operational demands of advanced weapon systems.
- Work closely with a highly skilled team, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Develop a deep technical understanding of advanced systems and their operating environments through hands-on project involvement.
What we are looking for in you:
- Detailed understanding and experience of how the hazard analysis and safety evaluation processes integrate with the system engineering process.
- Ability to deliver supporting information/ key Safety & Reliability documents (Safety Case Reports, Hazard Analysis, Functional Failure Analysis, FTA, FMECA, reliability prediction, etc).
- A strong grasp of reliability as a development process, with experience in planning, analysis, and testing.
- Be familiar with UK and international systems engineering standards and how to apply them effectively.
- A background in complex electronic systems, with a good handle on their safety and reliability challenges ideally supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
