About the Opportunity
A well-established engineering company is seeking a Junior Structural Designer to join their collaborative design team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for engineering and design to contribute to a range of exciting projects, from bespoke customer solutions to innovative product development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating detailed sales and production drawings using Solidworks 3D CAD
- Supporting the development of new products and improving existing designs
- Assisting with engineering design checks using in-house tools (training provided)
- Producing technical documentation and visual aids for sales and production teams
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure design accuracy and feasibility
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in Solidworks 3D CAD
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools
- A basic understanding of structural and mechanical engineering principles
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and able to manage a varied workload
- A creative mindset with a drive to learn and grow
