We're working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Stevenage that's looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is the perfect role for someone considering a career in the education and training sector as a educational psychologist, youth justice, mental health, or social worker.

  • Support students aged 11-16 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and external agencies to provide tailored support
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, promoting emotional regulation, self-esteem, and resilience
  • Be a positive role model, helping students re-engage with education in a safe, structured environment

  • A recent psychology or criminology graduate (2:1 or above preferred)
  • Passionate about making a real impact on the lives of vulnerable young people
  • Calm, empathetic, and able to build trusting relationships
  • The ability to commute to Stevenage.
  • Previous experience with young people or vulnerable groups (voluntary or paid) is a bonus, but not essential
