Deputy Home Manager - Children's Residential
Location: Stevenage
Salary: 拢34,000 - 拢35,000 per annum (DOE) plus an additional 拢3,000 - 拢6,000 per year for sleep-ins
Hours: Full-time, working shifts
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential
I am recruiting on behalf of a respected and established provider of residential childcare services, seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Home Manager for a children's residential home in Stevenage. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker or existing Deputy Manager to step into a rewarding leadership role, supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
As Deputy Manager, you will play a central role in leading a skilled and compassionate team to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children can grow, develop, and achieve positive outcomes. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home meets Ofsted standards and delivers exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
路Support the Registered Manager with the effective daily running of the home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and organisational standards.
路Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to residential staff, promoting a supportive and inclusive team culture.
路Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.
路Oversee care planning, behavioural management, and risk assessments to meet individual needs.
路Manage staff rotas, budgets, and administrative duties effectively.
路Take responsibility for the home in the Registered Manager's absence.
路Contribute to the development and implementation of the home's therapeutic and child-centred approach to care.

Requirements
路Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a Residential Children's Home, ideally as a Senior or Deputy Manager.
路Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Children and Young People (minimum).
路Sound understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
路Experience in managing rotas, budgets, and staff teams.
路Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
