A World Class Defence Organisation in Stevenage is seeking to recruit 8 Electronics Design Engineer subcontractors for an initial 12-month contract, with a mix of onsite and remote work options.
The role requires significant proven experience in the design of Digital and Analogue electronics, preferably within the defence industry, although other backgrounds may also be considered.
Candidates should possess excellent skills in Analogue Design, Digital Design, or Power Design, with an hourly rate of £58 per hour (Umbrella) offered for this position.
Responsibilities include conducting technical investigations, evaluating design issues, and supporting manufacturing teams to ensure production continuity.
Successful candidates will be able to work autonomously, engage with stakeholders effectively, and have a track record of on-time delivery alongside good communication skills.

World Class Defence Organisation based in Stevenage (the role can be a split of working Onsite and Working From Home) is currently looking to recruit 8x Electronics Design Engineer subcontractors on an initial 12 month contract. Electronic Design Engineers with excellent skills in Analogue Design or Digital Design or Power Design are sought after. Hourly Rate: £58ph (Umbrella)Contract Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)Electronics Design Engineer Job Description:Whilst the primary aim is focused on highly advanced module missile programmes, there is also scope to work on other unique opportunities, offering the right candidate a true engineering challenge in their core discipline.Responsibilities:Conducting Technical investigations on Prime Hardware or Test EquipmentEvaluating issues and proposing and delivering design changesSupporting the Manufacturing teams to enable the continuation of productionLiaising with Design teams to ensure route cause and corrective actions are implementedObsolescence investigations and preventative design changesDesigning test equipment and solutions to aid in the manufacturing processSkillset/experience required:

Significant proven experience in the design of Digital and Analogue electronics, preferably in the defence industry, (but not essential). Experience of switch mode power supplies would also be an advantage, (but not essential).
Work well in a multifunctional and multi-skilled team environment, supporting knowledge transfer to/from colleagues
You’ll be prepared to work autonomously if needed, lead the delivery of your work assignments, and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of your outputs.
Experience in supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is an advantage, but not essential.
Finally, we are looking for someone who has a record of accomplishment of on-time delivery along with good verbal and written communication skills.
