Marketing and Events Executive FTC at least 9 months

We are looking to recruit Marketing and Events Executive for our fabulous client in Stevenage. You will join a team of forward thinkers; creative & dynamic - the marketing team are passionate about bringing innovative ideas to completion and finding new ways to communicate with their audiences. This role is onsite ie 5 days in the office and salary is equivalent to £30k.

This is a short-term FTC to cover maternity leave however, although there are no guarantees, there is every likely hood that this could be extended or even made permanent for the right person as this is a particularly busy team.

You will be a highly skilled, passionate and experienced event/exhibition organiser with a minimum of two years’ experience, who is confident in using different mediums and finding solutions when you do not have all the answers. This role requires someone who is proactive, organised and has good stake holder relationship management. The role will be a mix of event organisation as well as mixed marketing activity such as branded merchandise and internal marketing support.

The team is a small but growing internal team within a large and successful company. Our client is a distributor of products and logistical services to manufacturers of electronic equipment. They support many industries including automotive, medical and security, but the bulk of their activity is within the defence and harsh environment sectors. This a fantastic opportunity to be part of their fast-growing marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all our global exhibitions
  • Manage KPIs during exhibitions
  • Organise internal events
  • Manage and organise all company merchandise
  • Organise internal marketing material
  • Some administrative support
  • Work alongside the marketing team and add value where possible

Essential

  • 2-5 years’ experience in event organisation
  • Proven track record in a fast-paced environment in-house or within an agency or freelance
  • Organised and attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting B2B exhibitions
  • Ability to work well in a team but self-motivated and driven
  • Microsoft Suite - PowerPoint, Word, Excell

Desirable but not essential

  • Experience with CRM management - Salesforce ideally
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite - Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, Spark
  • Experience with internal marketing in a B2B setting
  • Some knowledge of electrical/ mechanical engineering and/or electronics distribution
