Senior Linux Engineer

Location: Stevenage (on-site, 5 days a week)

Travel: Occasional travel across Greater London & the Southeast
Security Clearance: DV Eligible.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join a supportive, highly skilled team working across several exciting and complex environments. You’ll help design, support, and improve secure Linux infrastructures, including HPC and clustered platforms, while working closely with customers and internal teams.

What You’ll Do
• Support and enhance Linux infrastructure across multiple contracts
• Share expertise, mentor colleagues, and implement best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders
• Contribute to future system designs when needed

What We’re Looking For
• Strong Linux administration experience across multiple distributions
• RHCE (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Experience with automation (Ansible) and scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Knowledge of clustered environments, parallel file systems (e.g., Lustre), and HPC tools (e.g., Bright)
• Understanding of networking (InfiniBand/Ethernet) and storage platforms (DDN, NetApp, IBM, Dell EMC)
• Experience with batch schedulers (PBS Pro, Slurm, SGE/UGE, Microsoft Scheduler)
