Are you an experienced Product Safety Engineer with a passion for complex systems and a background in Defence, Aerospace, or Automotive industries? This contract role offers the chance to work on cutting-edge technology in a high-integrity environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the identification and management of product safety requirements from hazard and risk assessments.

  • Contribute to and support Project Safety Management Plans.

  • Develop safety cases and structured safety arguments to support safe product design.

  • Facilitate hazard identification workshops and maintain hazard logs.

  • Perform peer reviews and ensure safety documentation meets assurance standards.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of engineering safety management, including hazard analysis and safety case development.

  • Solid grounding in integrating safety into systems engineering processes.

  • Experience in authoring detailed safety justification reports.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety engineering principles.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, Enterprise Architect, or JIRA.

  • Prior experience within the defence sector or similar complex software/system environments.

Additional Info:
  • Hybrid working (2-3 days onsite in Stevenage).

  • Potential for limited UK travel (e.g., Bolton).

  • One-stage interview process, face-to-face preferred.

  • UK Defence experience strongly preferred.
