We are currently recruiting for  Assemblers to help deliver on the growth focused strategy for our client based in Stevenage

Role Description:

An Assembler will work within any area of Operations, supporting the project and flow sides of the business as required in line with business requirements.

Essential Duties

  • Ensure their own and the safety of their fellow team members is a priority.
  • Work to any defined health and safety requirements within the area and support any safety-led initiatives.
  • Assembly and soldering of printed circuit boards.
  • Assembly of mechanical metalwork.
  • Assembly of product components.
  • Calibration of product where required.
  • Preparation and termination of wiring.
  • Work to defined standard work requirements.
  • Carry out stock checks as required in support of the business area.
  • Pack equipment as instructed using the best methods available.
  • Adhere to all quality standards defined and required.
  • Proactively support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Any other reasonable duty as required and in line with business needs.
  • Perform functionality testing where required.

Essential Criteria, applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent Health and Safety practices within the workplace.
  • 1 Years’ experience working within a manufacturing / production environment.
  • Computer literate to appropriate level required for role (i.e., ability to interact with appropriate software).
  • Testing experience would be advantage with experience of working in manufacturing

Desirable Criteria:

  • A formal qualification in an engineering, manufacturing, or related discipline.
  • Soldering experiance is a must
