I am recruiting for a Partner with a specialisation in Property Litigation to join my client's dynamic Dispute Resolution team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with a proven track record in fee generation and client relationship development. The ideal candidate will bring energy, initiative, and a strong drive to contribute to business development and client servicing. They will take the lead in the Property Litigation department, and for the right person, this could lead to a Partners position in circa two years.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle complex commercial landlord and tenant disputes/claims including 1954 Act claims, terminal dilapidations claims, and general property litigation such as possession and sale claims, boundary disputes, property right disputes, and disputed rights of way.
  • Manage cases dealing with statutory lease extensions, collective enfranchisement, commercial lease renewals, forfeiture, breach of commercial lease covenants, and cases involving the right of first refusal.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and referrers, actively bringing new work to the firm and building on existing relationships.
  • Supervise and manage team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Property Litigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate business and develop the department.
  • Experience in managing or supervising team members.
  • Knowledge in Leasehold Enfranchisement, adverse possession, and prescriptive rights is desirable.
  • Commercially astute with a client-centred focus, committed to providing high levels of client service.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Professional appearance and good IT skills.
