Join our team as a Legal Assistant, supporting our legal professionals, and contribute to the efficient processing of a high volume of claims while ensuring accuracy, timely resolution, and exceptional customer service. Our expertise lies in managing high-volume cases involving service charges, ground rent, buildings insurance, and breaches of leases for long leasehold flats and freehold houses with estate rent charges. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Claims Processing:
- Handle and process a high volume of claims daily.
- Draft and dispatch client care letters, Conditional Fee Agreements (CFAs), and Terms of Business (ToBs).
- Review, evaluate, and determine the validity of claims based on documentation and company policies.
- Customer Service:
- Provide timely, accurate, and courteous responses to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Address and resolve client concerns or queries related to their claims.
- Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Document all claims accurately and comprehensively in the company's system.
- Maintain organised records of all processed claims and related communications.
- Compliance and Regulation:
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to claims processing.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth processing and timely resolution of claims.
- Provide feedback and insights to improve processes and service levels.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated with changes in claims processing guidelines, tools, or systems.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops as required.
- A degree in law is desirable but not required. A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification.
- Previous experience in a claim handling role, preferably handling bulk or high-volume claims.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
