Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Controller to join their dynamic team in Stevenage. As the Manufacturing Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing processes.

This position is a 12 month contract with both PAYE and Umbrella rates available. Please note this is inside IR35!

Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Controller:

1. Manage the stock control and store keeping, including shelf life control.
2. Load the manufacturing cells with the required jobs, ensuring compliance with planned lead and cycle times, as well as manufacturing programs and delivery schedules.
3. Perform packing duties, including the use of hand tools.
4. Receive and issue tooling.
5. Update computer records and maintain accurate inventory.
6. Engage in kitting activities.
7. Load and unload lorries.

The Ideal Candidate for the Manufacturing Controller Role:

- Experience in a stores environment or manufacturing control
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible shift patterns
- Proficient in using computer systems, including Microsoft Excel
- Forklift truck license and knowledge of Kanban and 2-bin systems are desirable
- Manual handling, lifting, slinging, and ESD training
