MRP Controller – Manufacturing Planning & Logistics

Location: Stevenage Contract Length: 12 MonthsPay Rate: £17.50 – £18.40 PAYE (£22.02 – £24.55 Umbrella)

About the Role

We’re looking for an MRP Controller to join our Manufacturing Planning & Control team on a 12-month contract in Bolton. You will be responsible for managing manufacturing schedules, logistics activities, and material requirements planning (MRP) to ensure on-time delivery of customer programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Manufacturing Planning Schedule (MPS) to time, cost, and quality.

  • Plan and procure materials to ensure timely supply for production.

  • Release, manage, and schedule work in the MRP system, maintaining delivery forecasts.

  • Optimise inventories to meet targets while minimising waste and cost.

  • Conduct stock checks and maintain accuracy of the MRP system.

  • Collaborate with Supply Planners, Goods Receiving, Stores, and Despatch teams.

  • Escalate supply risks and support effective non-conformance management.

  • Maintain bills of materials and ensure manufacturing data accuracy.

Experience & Skills Required

? Production Planning experience? Logistics experience? Strong SAP knowledge? Proficiency in MRP systems & Microsoft Office? Excellent organisational & communication skills? Analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving ability? APICS supply chain certification desirable but not essential
