Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site QMS / Technical Manager to take ownership of quality and technical operations at a busy food manufacturing site. This site-based role offers the opportunity to lead and develop the Quality function, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards while driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring all processes meet both regulatory and customer requirements.

Manage and develop the Quality Control (QC) team, ensuring high performance and technical competence.

Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, implementing corrective and preventative actions as required.

Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and BRC / industry standards, maintaining high levels of compliance and product quality.

Collaborate closely with Hygiene and Operations teams to embed quality throughout all production processes.

Oversee investigations into customer complaints, ensuring robust root cause analysis and effective resolution.

Maintain and improve technical documentation, procedures, and metrics to support operational excellence.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on quality, safety, and compliance.
Key Skills & Experience:

Significant experience in a quality/technical management role within a food manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of QMS, GMP, BRC, and other relevant standards.

Proven experience in leading audits and implementing corrective actions.

Team management and leadership experience, ideally with a QC team.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively across multiple site functions, including operations and hygiene.
