Are you an experienced Building Services Engineer with a strong background in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems? We are seeking a skilled and proactive individual to join our facilities Department, supporting the delivery of high-quality maintenance and engineering services across our site.

About the Role

As a Building Services Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on refrigeration and air-conditioning systems in line with SFG20 standards and statutory regulations. You will also support general building services tasks and contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of our operations.

The ideal candidate will be qualified in mechanical engineering with NVQ or City and Guilds equivalent and have good relevant experience in a post apprenticeship role. Basic electrical/mechanical fault-finding experience and basic BMS experience is also preferable, however, training can be provided to support developing of knowledge in these areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform PPM and reactive maintenance across all building services disciplines, meeting agreed SLA/KPI targets.
  • Respond to emergency tasks and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Operate and adjust the Building Management System (BMS) as required.
  • Conduct regular checks and ensure timely completion of PPM tasks, reporting issues to management or end users.
  • Maintain exemplary health and safety standards and stay up to date with relevant legislation.
  • Provide regular feedback to administrators and line managers on task progress and completion.
  • Support ad hoc operational tasks as directed by the Facilities Department.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems or Mechanical (F-gas) desirable 
  • A solid understanding of general building services.
  • Strong communication and planning skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
