Due to continued growth, a successful Toolmaking and moulding business is seeking an experienced plastic injection Mould Tool Design Engineer to join their team.
In this role, you will take ownership of designing high-quality injection mould tools, from single-impression to complex multi-cavity hot runner systems, supporting a diverse range of industries including medical, automotive, switchgear, and packaging.
Up to 40,000, 23+8 days holiday, 08.00 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 08.00 - 16.00 Fridays
As an Injection Mould Tool Designer your duties will include:
- Injection mould tool and component design using 2D and 3D CAD software
- Conducting design reviews and ensure designs meet DFM (Design for Manufacture) principles
- Manage projects from concept through to completion
- Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure technical excellence and satisfaction
For the Injection Mould Tool Design role, we're looking for:
- Proven experience in injection mould tool design (toolmaking experience an advantage)
- Strong proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD
- Knowledge of side cores, up and aways, steel types and selection, polymers, hydraulics, and hot runner systems
- The ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
