About the Role

A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced MRP Controller to support increased workload across its production planning and logistics functions. This role is critical to ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of manufacturing schedules and customer programmes.

You will be responsible for managing and coordinating all planning-related activities to deliver the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, and effective communication across supply chain functions.



Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage planning and procurement activities to support MPS delivery.
  • Release, manage, and schedule work orders in the MRP system.
  • Maintain accurate delivery forecasts and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and optimise inventory levels, minimising waste and costs.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to ensure MRP system accuracy.
  • Collaborate with supply planners to resolve constraints and communicate plan changes.
  • Escalate risks related to supplied parts within the sales and operations process.
  • Liaise with logistics teams (Goods Receiving, Stores, Despatch) to ensure smooth inventory transactions.
  • Support non-conformance management and maintain manufacturing bill of materials.
  • Drive schedule adherence and delivery KPIs through effective planning.


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in production planning, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and MRP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent planning, organising, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • APICS certification is desirable but not essential.
