A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-orientated individual to join a dynamic Manufacturing department as a Principal Cost Engineer, assisting with cost forecasting, analysis and supporting key business projects.

This role performs the duties of cost analysis, business forecasting, and stakeholder engagement, and reports to the Senior Manufacturing Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:• Build strong networks across manufacturing, design, and bid teams to gather and analyse robust cost data• Produce and maintain Business Cost Forecasting documents throughout the lifecycle of projects• Support manufacturing with production cost forecasting and whole life-cycle cost analysis• Lead meetings with stakeholders and challenge information to ensure accurate forecasting• Support continuous improvement initiatives within cost forecasting processes

The successful candidate will have:• Education to HNC/HND standard or equivalent in Engineering or Manufacturing• Strong background within an engineering or manufacturing environment• Experience in cost engineering, estimating, or manufacturing forecasting• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and life cycle costing• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders• Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and resilience
