Senior Quantity Surveyor

Working for a Tier 1 contractor delivering Rail schemes across the Home Counties region.

Location: - Stevenage

Salary: - 70,000 - 75,000 basic + Car or Allowance + Bonus + Package

Hybrid working 3 days on site and 2 days working from home.

Role Description:

The Resolute Group is proud to be working in partnership with a Tier 1 contractor, delivering a range of infrastructure projects across the rail sector. We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for managing a 15m project involving a Station upgrade, looking after Lift upgrades, Roof replacement, canopies and improved access.

Reporting into the Managing Quantity Surveyor who will be managing multiple projects from a reporting, costing and forecasting aspect. The Senior Quantity Surveyor is focused on the day-to-day running of the project and Sub-contractor packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the cost delivery of a 15m project, managing multiple sub-contractor packages,
  • Oversee contract management aspects to ensure performance benchmarks are met, enabling payment clause triggers.
  • Monitor subcontractor payments and contract amendments.
  • Create financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders, including cash forecasts for your package of works.
  • Act as the key liaison between the Managing Quantity Surveyor, Site team, and sub-contractors from a commercial aspect.

This is a perfect role for someone working in the local region and looking for a stable live project, with a pipeline of over 100m to be delivered over the next 4 years.

Working on a hybrid basis you will be working on site 3 days a week, then 2 days from home for admin and MS Teams meetings.

Experience:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, ideally, or similar qualification.
  • Experience on site in a Quantity Surveying role,
  • Previously been involved with projects from 5m to 20m as you will be leading the scheme and not part of a large commercial team as on major projects.
  • Full clean driving licence
