Role Description

We are recruiting a Study Assistant to provide full-time non-medical support to a university student. This support is equally split between in-class engagement and out-of-class academic guidance.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting individuals with autism and a strong interest in inclusive education. A background in creative or digital arts would be preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-class support to help the student engage with and absorb course material.
  • Offer tailored academic support outside of lectures to promote focus and comprehension.
  • Ensure the student remains organized and is working on the most relevant academic tasks.
  • Adapt to the student's learning needs and communicate effectively with support staff.
Essential Criteria
  • Not currently enrolled as a student
  • Autism support experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a proactive mindset
Preferred but not required criteria
  • Creative or digital background (e.g. art grad, art therapy, creative media)
