We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Stevenage. This is a full-time role supporting pupils in the classroom and helping them reach their full potential.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
Supporting pupils in their learning across different subjects and activities.
Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
Working 1:1 with children who have additional learning needs (e.g. SEND, behavioural, or emotional support).
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils build confidence and independence.
Supervising children during activities, transitions, and break times.
Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy, and other key skills.
Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Providing feedback to teachers on pupil progress and any concerns.
Assisting with record-keeping and other general classroom duties.
Key Requirements:
Must hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
(A DBS refund will be provided after 20 days of completed work.)Must be able to provide references from the last 2 years.
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting is highly desirable.
A positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
