Were recruiting a Senior Software Engineer to join a cutting-edge technology team supporting complex defence and security systems. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact, mission-critical software projects in a collaborative, agile environment with a multi-disciplinary team.
The ideal Senior Software Engineer will have experience developing test software and a strong foundation in programming languages such as C, C++, or ADA. Youll play a key role in supporting software solutions that interface with test equipment to verify and validate advanced systems across their lifecycle from development through production and field deployment.

Strong programming ability in C, C++, or ADA
Experience in test software or electronics engineering with a willingness to specialise in software
Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative, solution-focused mindset
Clear communication and the ability to work with technical teams across multiple domains
Eligibility to work in the UK and obtain security clearance
Key responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer include:
Designing and developing software that drives test equipment for complex product verification
Collaborating with stakeholders in Systems, Electronics, and Validation teams to deliver robust software solutions
Supporting product certification, manufacturing, and field testing through innovative test systems
Working across software, hardware, and simulation disciplines to ensure full functional coverage
Applying analytical and design thinking to solve technical problems beyond traditional software boundaries
