Carbon60 is currently looking for a Panel Surface Treatment Technician to join a client of ours based in Stevenage. This role is a 12 month contract working for the UK's leading aircraft manufacturer working in their space sector.

As a Panels Surface Treatments Technician, you will be responsible for consistently producing high-quality items that meet all the necessary requirements, in line with the production plan. Working as part of the AIT Operations team, you will follow the company's local document system, ensuring compliance with standard processes, area-specific requirements, and health and safety guidelines.

This position is working shifts of 6am - 2pm week one and 2pm - 10pm week two. Due to the shift there is a 20% uplift on the hourly rate.

Key Responsibilities of the Panels Surface Treatments Technician:

- Perform component masking, spray painting, grit blasting, crane operation, acid etching, and surface treatments
- Mix and measure adhesives
- Operate industrial ovens
- Promote and adhere to Cleanroom Regulations, local health and safety requirements, and 5S policy
- Provide support and input to trainees within the department
- Participate in shift handover and team meetings as required
- Maintain 5S disciplines and contribute to continuous improvement activities

To be successful in this role, you should have:

- Relevant experience as a Panels Surface Treatments Technician or in a similar technical role
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow established procedures
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work across different operational teams as needed
