Laboratory Quality Lead

Location: Stevenage

Salary: Up to 55,000 + Bonus, Pension, Overtime, Flexible working, Hybrid options (3 days per week on-site)

Are you a quality assurance professional with a passion for environmental standards? If so, we have an exciting opportunity as a Laboratory Quality Lead who will drive quality across the mechanical and climatic test laboratory facilities.

In this vital role, you will lead the quality assurance processes within the laboratory, with your expertise contributing to maintaining compliance with ISO 17025 standards and the rigorous requirements of UKAS accreditation. Your background as a QA Manager will be invaluable in ensuring the highest quality in laboratory operations.

Laboratory Quality Lead Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the quality management system within the laboratory.
  • Ensure all laboratory activities comply with environmental and quality standards.
  • Act as the main point of contact for UKAS and ISO 17025 accreditations.
  • Lead quality assurance audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for laboratory staff on quality protocols.

As the successful candidate, you will possess:

  • Extensive experience in a quality assurance role within a laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with Environmental Testing and/or Calibration
  • Demonstrated knowledge of UKAS and ISO 17025 standards.
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire confidence and build trust within the team.
  • Practical experience of quality processes, especially non-conformance management
