Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement IT strategies to support business efficiency, growth, and resilience.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, networks, and applications, ensuring high performance and security.
  • Manage daily IT operations including user support, service desk, incidents, change control, and asset management.
  • Ensure IT services meet defined SLAs and deliver high user satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain governance and compliance controls, including data protection (GDPR, UKDPA), cybersecurity, and business continuity.
  • Identify and implement value-adding technology solutions and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor the internal IT team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
  • Manage third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring value for money and quality service.
  • Advise senior leadership on IT risks, compliance issues, and innovation opportunities.
  • Lead software development and systems integration strategies.
  • Coordinate closely with group IT functions to ensure system alignment and integration.
  • Set and manage the annual IT budget.
  • Collaborate across departments to understand and deliver on IT needs.
  • Serve as the lead for GDPR compliance activities within the business.
  • Provide direct support to users, ensuring prompt and professional issue resolution.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong background in IT service management (preferably ITIL-based)
  • Deep understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated success in delivering efficient, secure IT operations
  • Expertise in data protection, cybersecurity, and risk mitigation
  • Ability to align IT with business goals and improve operational performance
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience managing vendors and negotiating technology contracts
