About Us: We are a well-established accountancy practice in Greater Manchester, committed to providing exceptional services to our diverse client base. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Conducting audits and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Managing and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
- Reviewing and finalizing accounts prepared by junior staff.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other tax-related documents.
- Liaising with clients to provide financial advice and support, ensuring their needs are met.
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for clients.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices within the firm.
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff.
