About Us: We are a well-established accountancy practice in Greater Manchester, committed to providing exceptional services to our diverse client base. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  • Conducting audits and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Managing and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
  • Reviewing and finalizing accounts prepared by junior staff.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other tax-related documents.
  • Liaising with clients to provide financial advice and support, ensuring their needs are met.
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for clients.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices within the firm.
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
