Overview:

Our client, a well-established manufacturer operating in a regulated sector, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and associated quality assurance activities. This position offers the chance to join a fast-paced team focused on delivering high standards throughout the product development cycle.

Key Responsibilities for The Quality Engineer (NPI):

  • Lead and support NPI quality processes, ensuring that product and process requirements are fully met from concept through to production

  • Prepare and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, and APQP documentation in line with project timelines

  • Oversee the creation and validation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety practices, including the consistent application of 5S methodologies

  • Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders, demonstrating a high level of professionalism in both written and verbal communication

  • Manage multiple projects in a high-demand environment, ensuring that tasks are completed to deadline and specification

Candidate Requirements from The Quality Engineer (NPI):

  • Proven background in a Quality Engineering role within a highly regulated industry (preferably aerospace, medical, or automotive)

  • Strong working knowledge of APQP, FAIRs, PFMEA, and quality management systems

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of a business

  • Confident in reading and understanding engineering documentation and drawings

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

  • Able to plan, organise, and prioritise workload effectively under pressure

Desirable Skills from The Quality Engineer (NPI):

  • Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing and/or assembly processes is beneficial
