RG Consultancy are working with a large manufacturing business in Stockport who are recruiting for an accounts assistant to support a small to medium the finance department on a day-to-day transactional basis. The role will mainly be to support the purchase ledger, however other accounts and admin duties will be part of the role. You will work alongside other transactional staff and report into the Finance Manager.

Role Responsibilities
- Purchase ledger, support with processing of high volume of invoices
- Receiving, reviewing and matching invoices
- Managing and maintaining the database to ensure it is up to date and compliant
- Dealing with and processing expenses
- Liaising with supplier and contractors
- General office administration duties, e.g. dealing with correspondence, responding to emails, taking phone calls, filing
- Support with HR & payroll admin when required
Person Specification
- Previous proven experience within an accounts administration or purchase ledger role
- Experience working within the manufacturing sector would be an advantage
- Good IT skills including SAGE & MS Office & MS Excel
- Ability to work within a small team and willing to support extra duties/holiday cover
- An AAT qualification would be an advantage but not essential
