CNC Machinist – Riello Machines
Location: Stockport
Salary: £34,500 – £35,000 per annum
Contract: Temp to Perm
Job Summary:
Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Stockport, is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic CNC Machinist to join their production team, working specifically on Riello machines. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced machinist who takes pride in precision work and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
CNC Machinist Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC machinery (Riello) safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Make CNC program adjustments to maintain production and quality standards
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and promptly report any issues
- Work collaboratively to achieve production targets and deadlines
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
CNC Machinist Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow all site-specific health and safety policies and procedures
- Wear PPE at all times and encourage safe practices among colleagues
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately
- Check machine guarding and emergency stops before operation
- Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Promote a strong “safety-first” culture
CNC Machinist Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Skilled with precision measuring instruments
- Experience with CNC program editing and troubleshooting
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and a strong team player
- Flexible and open to learning new technologies and processes
