We’re hiring for a Health & Safety Manager to join a long-established manufacturing business based in Stockport.
You’ll be part of the management team, driving HSE compliance and continuous improvement across a 24/7 operation — with scope to expand into HR and recruitment over time.

What will you be doing as a Health and Safety Manager?
- Leading and improving HSE policies, systems & practices
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations & company standards
- Promoting a strong safety culture across all teams
- Developing training programmes, risk assessments & incident investigations
- Driving continuous improvement in safety & environmental performance
- Auditing, analysing & reporting environmental data to external bodies
- Supporting staffing, training & workforce planning as the role develops
What do you need?
- Strong background in Health & Safety with NEBOSH qualification (essential)
- Experience within a manufacturing or similar environment
- Proven leadership of multiple teams in a fast-paced, 24-hour operation
