Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Stockport Primary School - 3 Days per Week

Are you a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Stockport, who are seeking a HLTA to join their team 3 days per week, starting as soon as possible.

This is a long-term role with the potential to transition onto a school contract for the right candidate.

About the Role:
  • Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

  • Location: Stockport

  • Working Days: 3 days per week

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Duration: Long-term, with the opportunity to go permanent

  • Pay: Competitive, depending on experience

Responsibilities:
  • Leading whole-class sessions in the absence of the teacher

  • Supporting with planning and marking as required

  • Delivering high-quality lessons and maintaining classroom standards

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and contributing to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A Level 3 or Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification

  • Proven experience teaching classes independently

  • Confidence in leading learning, managing behaviour, and adapting to different year groups

  • A proactive, professional, and flexible approach
