Are you a Science graduate looking to make a difference in education? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with several thriving secondary schools across Stockport to recruit dedicated and knowledgeable Science Technicians to start this September.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a Science degree who are keen to utilise their subject knowledge in a rewarding and dynamic school environment.

The Role:

As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and practical science lessons. Working within well-resourced science departments, your duties will include:

  • Preparing and setting up equipment for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

  • Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and resources.

  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed at all times.

  • Supporting teaching staff in demonstrations and experiments.

  • Assisting in the maintenance and care of laboratory stock and chemicals.

Requirements:
  • A degree in a Science subject is essential (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related field).

  • Previous experience in a school laboratory setting is desirable but not essential.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • A genuine interest in supporting science education at secondary level.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
