Technical Liaison / Distributor Manager

With a strong focus on quality, technical expertise, and bespoke engineering, the company supports both research and production environments worldwide. Their products are distributed globally, and they maintain a close working relationship between engineering teams and their international distributor network
They are looking for a technically capable individual who can serve as a critical link between their distribution partners and their internal engineering teams.
This is not a typical commercial “salesperson” role — they are looking for someone who can engage deeply with both the technical and customer-facing aspects of the business to ensure optimal outcomes for all parties.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical understanding, relationship management skills, and the ability to support the delivery of tailored, high-quality solutions to their customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical sales support: Engage with distributors and end customers to understand their needs, propose technical solutions, and guide projects from enquiry to delivery.
- Distributor management: Build and maintain strong relationships with their global network of distribution partners.
- Internal liaison: Act as the bridge between distributors/customers and their engineering team, translating commercial needs into technical solutions.
- International travel: Willingness and ability to travel worldwide to support customers and distributors on-site when needed.
Ideal Background:
- Engineering education: Degree-level qualification in Engineering, with Mechanical Engineering being most relevant.
- Relevant industry experience: Experience in sectors such as aerospace, materials research, ceramics, or other technically complex fields.
- Custom solution delivery: Demonstrated success in working on bespoke, engineered solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Bonus Experience (Nice to Have):
- Direct experience in furnace engineering, although not essential.
