We’re hiring an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a well-established engineering business that values robust infrastructure and reliable support. This role is ideal for someone confident working across both office and production environments and eager to play a key role in a growing IT function.

You’ll act as a key escalation point for support issues and contribute to systems stability across operational teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line IT support across production, office, and remote users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Maintain and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Support virtualised environments using VMWare and Hyper-V
  • Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, and routers
  • Assist with patching, upgrades, and general infrastructure projects
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all technical procedures and changes
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure minimal downtime and high system performance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a 2nd line IT support role
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server and virtualisation platforms
  • Hands-on experience with network devices (firewalls, switches, routers)
  • Confident managing Active Directory environments
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to issue resolution
