Residential Conveyancing Team Manager Location: Stockport (Hybrid Working Available)  Salary: Competitive + Benefits  Department: Residential Conveyancing  Experience Level: 5+ years in residential conveyancing with prior leadership experience Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Residential Conveyancing Team Manager to join a well-established and leading law firm in the Manchester area. This key leadership role involves overseeing a team of conveyancers, managing workflow, promoting team development, and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional service to clients. The position is ideal for a skilled conveyancer with proven leadership abilities, looking to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.  Key Responsibilities: Lead, support, and inspire a team of residential conveyancers to meet departmental goals. Oversee daily operations, including caseload distribution and resource planning. Provide training, supervision, and mentoring to both junior and senior team members. Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings to ensure alignment and collaboration. This is a no case handling role so you'll be expected to support team members on complex or high-value matters, offering legal expertise as needed. Ensure all legal documents and processes are accurate and compliant with relevant legislation. Serve as the main point of contact for key client matters, ensuring all queries are handled efficiently and professionally. Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance client service. Ensure the team stays up to date with legal developments, regulatory changes, and firm protocols. Track performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the department. Monitor team compliance with legal and regulatory standards, as well as firm-specific requirements. Proactively identify and manage risk across all transactions to uphold high professional standards. Skills & Experience Required: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential conveyancing. Proven experience in a leadership, supervisory, or team management role. Strong understanding of UK property law and the end-to-end conveyancing process. Excellent client care skills and a strong commitment to service excellence. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to team management.
