Groundwork Finisher

Bridgeman Recruitment (Agency) are seeking an experienced Groundwork Finisher to join our team on civil engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing all finishing elements of groundwork operations to a high standard, ensuring surfaces and structures are level, secure, and ready for the next phase of construction or final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Finish and surface external groundworks including concrete, tarmac, slabs, and block paving.

• Install kerbs, edgings, manholes, and drainage systems.

• Prepare sub-bases and surfaces using appropriate tools and machinery.

• Read and interpret drawings, site plans, and levels.

• Carry out finishing tasks such as formwork, shuttering, screeding, and floating.

• Work to tight tolerances, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with specifications.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.

• Liaise with site managers, supervisors, and other trades on site.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a groundwork finisher or similar role in construction/civils.

• Strong knowledge of finishing techniques, materials, and tools.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Valid CSCS card (essential).

• CPCS/NPORS and Streetworks tickets (preferred but not essential).

• Full UK driving licence (desirable).
