What You Will Do:
- Lead the FEA simulation, technical analysis and development of innovative engineering concepts for large defence upgrade projects including NPI.
- Conduct stress analysis, fatigue evaluations, and design calculations using advanced tools such as non-linear FEA.
-Using Spaceclaim and ANSYS software from Step files
- Write and oversee test specifications, acceptance criteria, and detailed reporting.
- Manage in-house and outsourced engineering activities, ensuring the structural integrity of fabricated metallic products.
- Collaborate with customers to verify project scope and deliverables, while preparing and managing project programmes.
- Investigate non-conforming products and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring:
- A degree in engineering, ideally in Mechanical or Aerospace disciplines.
- Chartered status with a recognised institution (e.g., IMechE or IStructE).
- Proven experience in structural behaviour, material properties, and NON Linear FEA simulation.
- Proficiency in Eurocodes and familiarity with fabricated aluminium and steel production processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a willingness to travel when required.
