Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Stockport | Salary: Up to £40,000 per year (Base £35,200 + Bonus up to £4,800)
Contract: Full-time | 3 on, 3 off shift pattern (10am–10pm)
The Opportunity
We’re working with a well-established children’s residential care provider seeking an experienced Deputy Manager to support the leadership of a therapeutic home in Stockport. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong sector experience looking to take the next step into senior management.

The Role
Reporting to the Registered Manager, the Deputy Manager will:
- Lead and supervise care teams across shifts
- Support staff development and performance management
- Oversee day-to-day operations and incident responses
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and care planning
- Foster a safe, therapeutic environment for young people
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in a children’s residential care setting
- At least 1 year in a supervisory or senior role
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Level 4 qualification desirable
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour management
