Our Client, Stockport Council is seeking a Children’s Senior Social Worker to join their Locality Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Taking the lead on complex cases involving children in need, child protection, and those in care.
  • Carrying out assessments and putting together plans that really reflect what children and families need.
  • Supporting and guiding less experienced team members – sharing your knowledge and helping them grow.
  • Working closely with other professionals like teachers, health workers, and the police to make sure children get the right support.
  • Attending and sometimes chairing meetings to help coordinate care and keep things moving.
  • Writing up clear, professional reports for court and other key meetings.
  • Helping shape how the team works – getting involved in training, service improvements, and making sure we’re always learning.
  • Keeping records up to date and making sure everything we do meets legal and local standards.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
